About Chai & Yoga

Hi! My name is Heidi, and I live and work in Seattle. Chai & Yoga is my blog about yoga, healthy cooking, reading, traveling and generally trying to make the most out of life.

What’s your yoga background?
I started doing yoga as a way to calm my mind and reduce stress, and found a holistic physical and mental practice that became a powerful positive force in my life. I believe in making yoga accessible to everyone, and that yoga can benefit people of all ages, sizes, and fitness levels. In June 2008 I did a 200-hour yoga teacher training through YogaWorks at their Seattle affiliate, The Yoga Tree.
Why is it called Chai & Yoga?
It’s pretty simple – I love chai and I love yoga. I think waking up and making a steaming mug of chai makes getting out of bed worth it, and a regular yoga practice brings so many good things to my life that I don’t know where to start in listing them. Which is what inspired me to start this blog!

Who designed your site?
The Chai & Yoga logo and graphics were created by my amazingly talented friend Antoine. The WordPress template is a modified ProSense theme created by Dosh Dosh and The Wrong Advices.
