Organic Fair-Trade Coffee

One of my favorite coffee shops in Seattle is Caffe Fiore on Queen Anne. Organic fair-trade coffee, Dagoba hot chocolate, green tea chai, organic granola, and vegan pastries as well as other yummy treats like organic croissants. The place smells amazing, you feel more awake just walking in the door!

In warmer weather the reclining chairs outside are packed, but it’s really cozy inside too with large communal tables and a warm atmosphere. Kids can play in the toy corner while the parents caffeinate, and dogs get their own biscuits (although they have to stay outside). For the working crowd there is free wireless, which has always been fast and reliable when I have been there. But if you need peace and quiet while working you might want to go somewhere else. This place can get noisy during peak coffee-drinking hours, with people lining up through the door, babies, dogs, gossiping, business meetings and the espresso machine constantly running. But if your creative juices start flowing from a little bit of chaos with your coffee this is your place.

The walls usually feature art from local artists, and currently on display are photographs by Gabe Johnson. Check out “Souvenirs from the Suitcase” to see the collection.

If you linger long enough with your afternoon latte you can walk across the street to Via Tribunali and have one of their absolutely amazing pizzas. But more on that some other time…
