Seattle Yoga Studios: Yogalife

In my 6+ years of taking yoga classes I have tried many types of classes, styles, studios, gyms and teachers. Some were fantastic, some were outright terrible, and some were okay but kind of forgettable. Finding a class and teacher that is right for you gives you a whole new perspective on yoga. If you are a beginner and didn’t like the first few classes you tried, don’t give up, there is a huge variety of classes out there.

In an attempt to use my yoga experience for something useful I will review some of the main studios in the different Seattle neighborhoods. First out is Yogalife, which, in the spirit of full disclosure, is where I currently take classes.

The Yogalife studios have a strong neighborhood presence, and owner Michael Suzerris teaches several classes himself. In addition to yoga flow and vinyasa classes they offer Friday night yoga nidra and meditation. Class passes are valid at both studios.

Insider tip: Teachers Nicole, Lisa and Jodi have their own e-newsletter where they write about yoga philosophy and what inspires them. AskĀ one of them if you can put your name on the list.
